2018年第8屆美國華盛頓約翰森國際青少年弦樂比賽

美國華盛頓約翰森國際青少年弦樂比賽該比賽始於1997年，每三年舉行一屆，總獎金67000美元，獲獎者將得到在華盛頓等地的演出機會。約翰森國際青少年弦樂比賽的獲獎者們在多項國際著名賽事中也獲得了優異成績，例如中國的沈子鈺（昂內爾·特帝斯國際中提琴比賽冠軍）、韓國的문태국（布達佩斯帕布羅·卡薩爾斯國際大提琴比賽冠軍）、哥倫比亞的聖地牙哥·瓦倫西亞（卡洛斯·普利埃多國際大提琴比賽冠軍）、美國的馬修·李普曼（華盛頓國際弦樂比賽冠軍和斯塔伯格國際弦樂比賽冠軍）、韓國的申嫻淑（比利時伊莉莎白國際音樂比賽第三名）等等。
比賽的創始人約翰森女士是一位小提琴家，也是星期五早間音樂俱樂部的終身會員。她希望通在青年音樂家們最需要獲得鼓勵的時候，以及在他們必須作出是否繼續在音樂道路持續向前發展的時候，通過重要獎項不斷給到他們鼓勵。除了獎項和音樂機會以外，獲勝者還可以獲得連續5年的星期五早間音樂俱樂部的學生會員身份。
2018年第8屆美國華盛頓約翰森國際青少年弦樂比賽將於2018年03月14日至2018年03月17日在美國華盛頓舉行，我們期待您的參與！

參賽要求：比賽面向13-17歲的大提琴、中提琴、小提琴演奏家開放，即生於2000年3月18日至2005年3月17日間的選手，不限國籍
備註：選手僅限個人身份參賽，不能代表專業機構參賽。

Guidelines
Repertoire Categories
For each work in the following categories, you must provide the composer’s full name and dates, the full name and identifying number or opus number of each work plus major or minor key, titles of each movement, and the timing of each complete movement. Contestants must be prepared to play all repertoire listed in their application for the semi-final and final rounds. All repertoire must be performed from memory except for the accompanied sonata and the new work commissioned for the competition for semi-finalists. No changes in submitted repertoire are permitted. If the repertoire in your application does not meet competition requirements as described in the repertoire categories, your application will be disqualified.
One unaccompanied work of Johann Sebastian Bach: a sonata, partita, or suite for violin, viola (transcribed), or cello.
One sonata with piano from the time of Mozart to the present, with the work originally written for violin, viola, or cello and piano. This sonata should demonstrate ensemble skills and musicality. NOTE: No continuo sonatas or transcriptions from harpsichord. For example, works by Giuseppe Valentini and Giuseppe Tartini are not acceptable for the sonata category.
One concerto or major work (such as “Rococo Variations” or “Schelomo”) for soloist with orchestra by a composer other than Bach or the composer chosen for your sonata.
One short work or one short movement from a longer work that shows virtuosity.
One new work commissioned for this competition, which will be sent to applicants chosen to perform in the semi-finals.
Audition Video Repertoire
Repertoire for the audition videos must be chosen from the repertoire list entered on this application. No other music is permitted. Videos must be unedited. Please name your video files “Category 1,” “Category 2,” and “Category 3,” and do not include your name in the file name. Note that the timings below refer to the movements or sections of movements to be included in the video, not to the timings of complete works. Please include the following:
Five [5] minutes or less of the unaccompanied sonata, partita or suite of J.S. Bach chosen in Repertoire Category 1.
Twelve [12] minutes or less of one movement from the sonata chosen in Repertoire Category 2.Thirteen [13] minutes or less of one movement from the concerto or major work chosen in Repertoire Category 3. Include important cadenza, if applicable. Do not include lengthy tutti passages.
JIC Video Guidelines
Total time of all three videos should not exceed 30 minutes playing time.
Video times should be within the required time limits for each selection.
Excerpts in your videos must be recorded with accompaniment if the work was written with accompaniment.
Applicants will be selected for the semi-final rounds based on submitted video recordings.
Applicants must submit three (3) videos with one selection per video, one for each repertoire category.
The camera must remain still from the beginning to the end of the selection, and the recording must include the player at all times, with the face as well as both arms and hands of the performer always visible.
Any indication of editing within any video will disqualify the application.
Videos that are unplayable, inaudible, or faulty such that the judges cannot evaluate the performance will disqualify the application.
High-quality audio will enable the judges to better evaluate the performance.
Applicants selected to participate in the semi-final round will be notified by mid-January 2018.
