拿督Syafinaz Selamat是女高音歌唱家，曾担任第一部当代马来歌剧《莎彤公主傳》主演并获得了热烈的反响。

如今Syafinaz以歌手、音乐娱乐节目的主持人和演员身份活跃于马来西亚当代音乐界。她是一名多才多艺的歌手，演唱古典音乐、R＆B、流行音乐和爵士乐。

除了歌唱事业，Syafinaz还在马来西亚玛拉工艺大学（UiTM）音乐学院和马来西亚国家艺术文化遗产大学（ASWARA）担任声乐讲师。她曾受邀在其他大学例如马来西亚国际音乐学院（ICOM）讲学了几年，与此同时，Syafinaz还是马来西亚国家合唱团（Koir Kebangsaan Malaysia）的声乐和艺术总监。

她是晚会典礼经常邀请的表演嘉宾，曾为在瑞士达沃斯举行的“世界经济论坛”闭幕式、在西班牙萨拉戈萨举行的世博会闭幕式演出，并在老挝万象为东南亚运动会（SEA GAMES）演唱。她是时装周上人们熟悉的演出嘉宾，她杰出的歌剧才能从常常让观众陶醉。她受邀在摩纳哥蒙特卡罗举行的伊斯兰时装节（IFF）上为摩纳哥阿尔伯特亲王表演，并再次受邀在哈萨克斯坦阿斯塔纳为伊斯兰时装节（IFF）演出。 Syafinaz还应邀与罗马尼亚国家广播电台交响乐团在马来西亚国油管弦乐厅演出。

在美国前总统贝拉克·奥巴马先生首次对马来西亚进行正式访问期间，Syafinaz由总理亲自挑选，在王宫举行的国宴上演出。在所有东盟领导人都参加的第27届东盟峰会晚宴上，Syafinaz再次受邀以她强有力而充满灵魂的歌声为他们演唱。

为了表彰她在过去的三十年中在教育、娱乐、艺术和表演方面的贡献，Syafinaz在2018年联邦领土日被国王授予“联邦直辖区拿督勋章”。

This celebrated voice specialist is a coloratura soprano. She has performed solo vocal recitals in Malaysia, Germany, Spain, Monaco, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Korea etc. When Malaysia’s produce our very own first Malay Opera entitled “Puteri Saadong”, Syafinaz was cast as the main character and received an over whelming response.

Syafinaz is also actively involved in the Malaysian contemporary music scene as a singer, host for musical entertainment programs, and actor (in musical theater productions). As a singer, she is well known for her versatility and capability in singing Classical, R&B, Pop and Jazz.

Besides singing, Syafinaz is a voice lecturer at MARA University Of Technology (UiTM) Music Faculty, and The National Arts Academy (ASWARA). She was invited to lecture at other universities such as The International College of Music (ICOM) for a few years and at the same time Syafinaz is also the Vocal and Artistic Director of Koir Kebangsaan Malaysia (The National Choir Of Malaysia).

A favourite performer at gala ceremonies, she performed for the closing of the ‘World Economic Forum’ in Davos Switzerland, the World Expo in Zaragoza, Spain and sang for the SEA GAMES in Vientiane, Laos. A familiar face at Fashion Festivals, her operatic prowess never failed to enthrall the audience. She was invited to perform in front of Prince Albert of Monaco in conjunction with Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) in Monte Carlo, Monaco, and was once again invited to perform for IFF at Astana, Kazakhstan. Syafinaz was also invited to perform with The Romanian Radio National Orchestra, at the Malaysian Philharmonic Hall.

During the President of The United States Of America, first official visit to Malaysia, Syafinaz was specially chosen by the Prime Minster himself to perform for Mr. Barack Obama for the State Banquet at the King’s Palace. And for 27th Asean Summit gala dinner which was attended by all of the Asean leaders, Syafinaz was once again invited to entertain them with her powerful and soulful vocal.

In conjunction with Federal Territory Day 2018, Syafinaz was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (P.M.W) medal which carries the title “Datuk” from HRH The King for her work and passion in the music industry and education namely Permata Seni Koir and Koir Kebangsaan Malaysia.
