鋼琴家吳美樂獲鋼琴大師貝利慕特（拉威爾的門生）賞識，讚譽她為「同輩中天份最高的鋼琴手」，她的演奏曾獲曼奴軒勛爵稱許「具濃郁詩意」。

吳氏是香港活躍及最出色鋼琴家之一，琴音遍及歐洲、北美及亞洲多個國家。她亦醉心於室樂演奏，曾與小提琴大師曼奴軒勛爵在英國及德國合奏。她曾多次在多國際音樂節中演出，包括拉威爾學院、法國、香港藝術節、新加坡藝術節、國際現代音樂節、澳門藝術節、好熱！音樂節、西班牙的Ibiza節、香港的「創意間的親暱」現代音樂節中伙拍兩屆格林美奬得主史托茲曼演出及多次與英國格林美室樂獎得主麥金尼四重奏合作。吳美樂灌錄過多張唱片，包括《中國現代曲目》及由環球唱片發行的《拉威爾鋼琴獨奏全集》等。

吳氏亦與多個樂團合作，包括加拿大卡格利交響樂團、北京中央樂團（現中國交響樂 團）、波蘭愛樂樂團、香港管弦樂團、廣州愛樂交響樂團、香港小交響樂團、香港中樂團及新加坡華樂團等。

吳氏畢業於英國曼奴軒音樂學院及皇家音樂學院，並在美國紐約州立大學石溪校取得博士學位。吳美樂獲選為二○○三年香港十大傑出青年及二○一○年香港藝術發展局最佳藝術家（音樂）獎。她亦曾獲多個比賽獎項，包括英國皇家音樂學院頒發的最高榮譽 鋼琴獎－查普爾金獎、協奏曲獎、古鍵琴獎、倫敦皇家海外聯賽冠軍及莫扎特二百周年國際亞洲鋼琴大賽冠軍等。

Hailed as ‘one of the most gifted pianists of her generation’ for her ‘musical variety,profundity and sensitivity’ by Vlado Perlemuter, Mary Wu is also praised by the late Lord Yehudi Menuhin as having ‘a captivating poetical quality to her playing’.

Starting from a young age, Mary Wu has performed extensively including performances with Lord Menuhin in Europe, the Gramophone Chamber Music Award winner Maggini Quartet, and in festivals including Ravel Academy, France, Hong Kong Arts Festival,Singapore Arts Festival, International Contemporary Music Festival, Ibiza Festival in Spain,‘Intimacy of Creativity’ Festival in which she performed with Grammy Award winner Richard Stoltzman. Wu has several CD recordings on BMG, ASV, Dutton and Universal Label.

Wu has collaborated with the Woking Mozart Players, Calgary Symphony in Canada,Beijing Central Philharmonic, Polish Gdansk Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic,Guangzhou Philharmonic, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra,Singapore Chinese Orchestra etc..

Wu is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, the Royal College of Music and the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she completed her Doctoral degree.A 2003 ‘Top Ten Outstanding Young Person in Hong Kong’, Wu has won the Chappell Gold Medal of RCM, first prize at the Royal Overseas League Competition and the Mozart Bicentenary Competition of Asia, and the 2010 ADC Hong Kong Best Artist(Music) award.
