黃氏自幼開始習琴，中學畢業後考入中央音樂學院鋼琴系，先後師承王并臻和周廣仁教授。

她以優秀成績完成夲科五年的課程，取得畢業證書。之後在中央民族大學音樂系任教，經常參加演出活動，多次為中央人民廣播電台和電視台錄制節目並公開演出。

一九八O年來港定居，在香港音樂專科學校任教，繼續從事鋼琴教學工作。期間經常出任在香港舉辦的各種鋼琴比賽之評委。

Wong started to play piano at her early age. She was admitted into the Beijing Central Concervatory of Music. And she was under Professor Wong Ping Chen and Professor Chow Kwong zen .After graduation ,Ms Wong became lecturer in Music Department of Central University of Nationalities in Beijing.She took an active part in many musical performances and made numberless programmes for Central People’s Broadcasting Station and Beijing Tele vision. In 1980, Ms Wong moved to Hong Kong and continued her Piano teaching .She often being invited on the jury panel of various piano competitions.
