Constantin Nica studied singing with Professor Ionel Pantea at the G. Dima University in Cluj Romania. His first engagement, while studying, he performed the main roles at the Staatsoper in Cluj – Romania.
He graduated with the highest grade of all that year. He was the first praise winner of the competition «Singing Romania» in 1980, and made an appearance on various radio and television shows.
In the year 1981 he won the first price at the «Maria Callas» competition in Athens.
He has been engaged at various opera-houses in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, the Tchech Republic, South Africa, Italy, Israel, England, Romania, Egypt, Mazedonia.
He continued his studies in Italy with: Fernando Bandera, Arrigo Pola, Carlo Bergonzi, Gianni Raimondi; in Germany with Rudolf Bauatz and Monika Pick- Hieronimi and Ion Buzea in Switzerland.
