Robert Langston

Robert Langston was born in London and studied piano, organ and vocal studies at the Royal Academy of Music and also at Cambridge University, where he won many prizes and scholarships.
He was Choir Director of London’s famous St Bride’s Church from 1972 to 1988 and undertook many tours with the choir both in Europe and America as well as broadcasting frequently on the BBC.
For many years he taught at the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music and has been an Examiner to the ABRSM for 35 years and, more recently, the University of West London (LCM).
Having been to Asia many times, he decided to move to Hong Kong in 2004, and has been teaching and adjudicating here since then, as well as travelling to many other countries to adjudicate competitions and conduct masterclasses and seminars. He has also broadcast on RTHK and taught at the Chinese University as well as being an occasional actor on TVB dramas.
